British Vickers MMG Elevating Wheel Dial: Rare German Flags It is a size 7Original Item: Elevating dials were used until 1918, when they were removed and scrapped. They were replaced by indicating marks place directly on the elevating wheel itself. They are very rarely seen. See Dolf Goldsmith, The Grand Old Lady of No Man? s Land, page 463.
